Where you could help

We need people across a range of areas. When you get in touch, tell us what you're best at — we'll match you to where the need is most immediate.

• Translation — Lavender Common works across 46 Council of Europe member states. Making our materials multilingual is one of the most concrete things a volunteer can do.
• Research support — desk research, fact-checking, and open-source research that feeds into our legal and policy work.
• Event organising — helping coordinate Lavender Common's public events, community gatherings, and fundraising activities.
• Communications and social media — content drafting, scheduling, and community management across our channels.
• Anything else — if you have a skill and think it might be useful, tell us. We've been surprised before.

What to expect

We'll have a short conversation to understand what you're good at and what you'd like to do. From there, we'll match you with specific tasks or ongoing work rather than leaving you to figure it out. We try to be respectful of people's time — we'd rather give you something meaningful to do than pull you into meetings about nothing.

Volunteering with Lavender Common is unpaid. It's also one of the most direct ways to contribute to LGBTQ+ rights litigation in Europe — not as a donor, but as someone doing the actual work.
